Dr. David Allgood

Dr. Allgood attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, majoring in biology and minoring in physics. He spent two years performing graduate studies in Neuro anatomy and graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry with Beta Sigma Kappa Academic honors. He has served as Adjunct Instructor at UAB and lectured for twenty-four years on ocular and neurological clinical manifestations of primary brain tumors, metastatic carcinomas and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Allgood has lectured in many locations across the United States, as well as Munich, Madrid, San Juan, British Columbia, Toronto, and Nova Scotia.

  

 Dr. Allgood is a standing member of the American Brain Tumor Society and Gamma Knife Association, served as a Former Chief Examiner for The National Boards in Clinical Skills, contributing editor for Clinical and Refractive Optometry publications, and also maintains the Ocular Emergency Department at Bibb Medical Center in Centreville, Alabama, where his private practice is located. In his free time, Dr. Allgood enjoys offshore deep-sea fishing and holds a Captain's license. 

Dr. Allgood enjoys traveling across the country conducting lectures concerning neuro-optometry and autoimmune diseases. He currently offers the following C.O.P.E. approved ccourses:
